What will you do?
the sr supplier scheduler develops suppliers and intercompany plants (feeders), executes savings projects, ensures proper supplier assignment for each purchased item, and supports expediting processes to ensure timely delivery of direct materials, minimizing inventory stock-out or revenue impact. The role may also involve supporting activities such as quality escalations, iso compliance, internal projects, and engineering changes related to purchased items.
how will you do it?
* analyze mrp demand and replenish stocks timely.
* place purchase orders (pos) on time to suppliers and feeder plants.
* obtain confirmation dates or estimated time of arrivals (eta) for all pos.
* ensure correct receipt in the erp system (sap).
* attend daily production meetings.
* regularly execute exception messages.
* align pos with suppliers to requested dates to avoid production impacts.
* send reports to suppliers to review open lines and prevent overdue purchase orders.
* communicate risks related to purchased items and shortages to planning and production.
* escalate issues with global procurement or regional materials through proper channels (jira).
* analyze line of balances (lob) when vendors face issues.
* review monthly forecasts and share with suppliers.
* promptly address problems related to delivery, pricing, and invoicing with vendors.
* monitor vendor performance and on-time delivery.
* support other areas to ensure proper feedback and corrective actions for vendor development and delivery improvements.
* implement projects to reduce inventory levels, excess, and obsolete items.
* review daily arrivals of raw materials at customs broker warehouse and coordinate with logistics.
* resolve discrepancy issues promptly, collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams.
* respond to invoices in maple (ap discrepancies).
* comply with johnson controls manufacturing systems activities.
* participate in safety committees and audits as required.
* participate in risk assessments and iso audits.
* participate in ehs observations programs.
* implement and uphold security policies, jci behaviors, and health/environment rules.
* participate in training programs and complete internal trainings.
* develop and review procedures and work instructions.
what we look for?
* bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience in purchasing/planning.
* experience as a direct buyer in manufacturing (metal-mechanic, refrigeration, electronic, hvac).
* experience working with purchasing, planning, and production departments.
* fluent english (mandatory).
* knowledge of mrp systems.
* preferably familiar with sap.
* experience with manufacturing planning programs and production sequences.
* leadership skills.
