the tmc transport & trade specialist will manage international freight forwarding and related operational administrative duties, including determining the correct shipment methods and ensuring an unbroken logistics chain for various goods.
this position reports to the warehouse manager at the matamoros, tamaulipas site.
responsibilities
* define and maintain an ocean consolidation strategy for inbound shipments.
* develop and manage standard operating procedures and shipping practices to carry out logistics activities effectively and efficiently.
* communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* provide customs clearance support to ensure timely and smooth delivery of goods.
* work proactively with carriers to identify and eliminate obstacles in logistics, demonstrating process improvements and operational efficiencies.
* file claims with carriers when necessary.
* resolve transportation issues collaboratively with logistics, customer service, sales, demand planning, project management, and manufacturing teams to meet delivery commitments.
* maintain effective track and trace processes for in-transit shipments.

basic qualifications:
* bachelor's degree and experience in logistics, engineering, or supply chain management.
* at least 5 years of experience in logistics.
* customer service orientation with a sense of urgency and prioritization skills.
* excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* proficiency in ms office.
