Delivery area manager, last mile operations
amazon is looking for high-potential leaders to own their impact in amazon operations as an experienced manager who will help build the most customer-centric company on earth. As a front-line leader, you will invest in, develop, and mentor a team of shift managers and associates while mastering the tools, processes, and operations that have created the global "last mile" network.
key responsibilities
day-to-day management of the delivery station and oversight of amazon order deliveries directly to customers.
lead a team of process assistants and delivery service providers (dsp) in daily operations, including meetings, training, job assignment, and communication with dsp management and drivers.
ensure a safe workplace and that associates are properly trained and supported to focus on their jobs.
implement change quickly, using lean tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
route shipments within the amazon logistics coverage area and support job duties for process assistants.
adapt to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities.
track and monitor sorting operation and driver dispatch.
review operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for the sort operation, managing a team to meet all building goals.
support all safety programs to maintain a safe environment for associates and dsps.
proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and lean tools.
drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards.
basic qualifications
completed bachelor's degree.
experience managing people (3+ years as people manager).
3+ years of general experience in operations.
english fluency (c1+).
flexible schedule – willing to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
preferred qualifications
solid experience using lean manufacturing concepts and tools.
3+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
mba or related advanced degree.
previous experience in last-mile delivery companies.
salary: $14,* mxn monthly base plus benefits.

english intermediate-advanced (b2+). Fluent in spanish, both written and verbal.
preferred qualifications
mba or similar.
experience using lean manufacturing methodologies.
previous experience as project manager.
experience managing departmental kpis and driving results.
background in logistics from an operations environment, preferably from first-middle mile ops.
advanced english proficiency (c1+).
