this is a temporary contract position
responsibilities
responsible of maintaining updated information needed to assemble compressors & vsd’s panels. Keep adherence to pdp requirements while introducing new products and guarantee engineering changes (ec) are properly implemented at monterrey compressor plant. Lead npi implementations on plant, coordinating the rest of the team providing direction.
* responsible for new products introduction and continuous product improvement.
* generates cost reduction ideas (va/ve) developing actions to achieve savings goals.
* assures information to build compressor &/or vsd’s is at their latest revision level maintaining constant communication with engineering design centers.
* manages & provides direction on major engineering projects (savings/npi/improvement).
* provides technical support to the productive areas and facilitates the comprehension of all the information available to build compressors.
* prepares, checks, and coordinates the release of documentation to support compressor assembly processes.
* provides feedback to design engineering to improve the compressors designs (either current designs and npi compressors).
* maintains routines to ensure bom’s reflect what is used in lines vs sap.
* participates actively in plant initiatives (gmoc, lpa, safety subcommittees, etc.).
* analyzes possible substitutions of components in order to approve a deviation.
* participates in risk assessments.
* participates in the ehs suggestions program.
* participates in the ehs observations program.
qualifications
* mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree.
* minimum five years of progressive experience in manufacturing or hvac industry, manufacturing processes, and projects administration.
* demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.
* ability to work under constrained time scales and demanding workloads.
* english proficiency.
