we are seeking an accomplished accounting manager to join our team in mexico city. As the accounting manager, you will be responsible for managing our accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements. You will work closely with our general manager and local leadership team to provide timely and accurate financial reports.


main responsibilities

* oversee the accuracy of accounting processes and the preparation of the monthly and yearly financial statements of the company
* prepare monthly p&l and balance sheet reports
* prepare reports for parent company according to group standards of accounting and timely submission
* manage credit collections including credit limit determination, ar overdue tracking, settlements with external customers, cooperation with law firms engaged in collection
* support and control inventory management
* work closely with the general manager on financial issues and immediate notification of identified findings
* maintain accurate account reconciliations
* analyze and monitor the approved annual operating plan
* promote compliance with corporate policies and procedures
* understand, adhere and maintain financial policies and procedures of internal audit
* be the single point of contact for internal and external auditors


main requirements and qualifications

* bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
* strong knowledge of book-keeping rules and international standards along with commercial acumen, knowledge of ifrs
* at least 8/10 years of work experience in financial roles at small/medium size international companies
* ability to manage teams to meet objectives, distribute tasks and delegate activities
* build a strong and trusted relationship with the local leadership team as well as the corporate one
* excellent analytical skills
* good knowledge of english language
* flexibility and ability to meet short deadlines

financial accounting is responsible for accounting operation, leading teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting books closing and reporting information on month, quarter, and annual basis, preparing, and monitoring financial statements ensuring adherence to ifrs and local gaap standards, monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports as well as coordinate internal and external audit process.

* work closely with the accounts receivable to follow up on unbilled and outstanding recoveries and assist in resolving disputes related to recoverable expenses with customers or affiliates.

knowledges and experience
