about the role:
the regional managing director is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational performance of franchise operations within their assigned region. This includes developing and implementing a growth strategy to expand market share, improve sales, and increase profitability across existing and new markets.
1. create and direct business strategies necessary to support brand development, store expansion, and enhance sales and profitability in the respective region.
2. determine the overall direction for departmental activities, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, brand standards, and coordination with the vice president of international.
3. lead and coordinate budget-related activities, conducting annual financial reviews with franchisees, supported by international finance.
4. provide leadership, coaching, and full-scope management functions for assigned staff, including goal-setting, performance management, and talent development.
5. communicate as a liaison with the organization on opportunities or issues impacting the brand, company, or franchisees, ensuring consistent representation and protection of the brand image.
6. promote strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives for new and existing markets, engaging directly as needed.
7. oversee franchise operations in assigned countries, maintaining adherence to company standards through regular evaluations and making recommendations for improvement.
8. develop and implement training programs, pre-opening, post-opening, and ongoing, tailored to country-specific requirements.
9. collaborate with international marketing to execute global/regional marketing plans, driving sales trends in each country.
10. partner with supply chain functions to develop effective supply chain strategies and tactics in the region.
11. direct the creation of annual cross-functional franchise business plans for each region.
