Role: business dev.t – spal products with a special focus on bus segment
location for posting : mexico city / mexico
reports to : director (sales & marketing)
experience : minimum 5 to 10 years in a sales and business development role
education : bachelor of engineering; preferably with mba
preferable sector : automotive, bus & coaches, ev bus - hvac, bus body builders, bus fleet - commercial vehicles
responsibilities
* business development and sales of spal products for all customers located in mexico.
* meeting customers, oems, end users on daily basis and keep abreast of market developments.
* identify market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels. Conduct market analysis & competitor intelligence to provide actionable insights and for business growth (ev bus, bus segment, bus body builder, coaches etc )
* review periodically the budget and sales plan
* tracking of all the tenders by govt. and for city / inter city buses in various cities and report
* engage with the end customers/clients such as: fleet companies, maintenance centres, service centres
* preparing client quotations as per company guidance, price negotiations & settlements with customer.
* manage & support after market distributors for spal products. Offer after-sales support services
* meeting kras covering profitable sales, new business development and receivables from customers
* periodically reports on results, market conditions and proposed corrective actions or new strategic initiatives aimed at sales and margin growth.
* mis and weekly updates to top management
other skills/knowledge expected:
* candidate should have proven ability to lead, influence and collaborate
* expertise in sales, marketing, business development, key account management.
* having good customer focus, and ability to build relationships at all levels, flair for marketing & good communication skills
* exposure to automotive components & systems and/or electricvehicle (ev) industry. Prior exposure to oems for sales, automotive, hvac, bus/trucks, agricultural, construction/off highway applications
* good technical and domain knowledge, team player, result oriented, passion for excellence.
