* evaluate the supplier’s performance to meet customer quality targets.
* collaborate with suppliers to meet all required activities and prevent deviations.
* review supplier manufacturing processes and identify potential issues.
* perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and follow-up/validation of actions.
* monitor production floor to track the progress and correct implementation of actions.
* detect and promptly report potential risks.
* gather information and ensure all documentation is uploaded into the relevant platforms.
* participate actively in regular meetings to provide status updates to top management and during project reviews.
requirements
* education in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
* 5+ years of industry experience with knowledge in production, quality, and manufacturing processes.
* at least 4 years as a technical expert in restraint systems (airbags).
* project management skills.
* high proficiency in quality core tools (msa, p-fmea).
* good knowledge of measurement techniques, gd&t, gage r&r.
* strong knowledge of manufacturing process evaluation and root cause analysis tools (8ds / pdca).
* experience with product/process audits according to standards like vda, iatf16949, iso 9001.
* knowledge of quality processes and tools.
* iso 19011 or vda 6.3 certified quality auditor (desirable).
* experience with kpis and reporting.
* ability to gather technical information, lessons learned, concepts, and customer requirements.
* knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing).
* proficiency in sap (desirable).
* willingness to travel within mexico.
* fluent in english.
* position duration: 3 months.
