Financial valuation leader (m&a & strategy)
global leader in physical asset management, valuation, and software solutions is seeking a highly specialized technical expert with a strong commercial vision for a newly created regional growth position.
the primary objective is to lead the valuation strategy, oversee technical compliance for an established team, and manage key client relationships across mexico, usa, argentina, and ecuador.
key responsibilities
* technical leadership: supervise and execute business, intangible, and biological asset valuations under local and international standards (nif, ifrs, us gaap).
* regulatory compliance: lead purchase price allocation (ppa) projects, impairment tests, and financial reporting for m&a transactions.
* team management: diagnose, train, and mentor a long-standing technical team, ensuring best-in-class accuracy and quality control.
* business development: identify new business opportunities, draft technical proposals, and maintain consultative relationships with international stakeholders.
* strategic growth: partner with senior management to improve internal processes and drive strategic decision-making for regional expansion.
requirements
* education: bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or civil engineering (with a postgraduate degree in valuation). Mba or master's in finance is highly preferred.
* experience: 10–15 years in financial consulting. Big four experience (deloitte, pwc, ey, or kpmg) is mandatory or highly preferred.
* technical skills: deep expertise in discounted cash flow (dcf) models, market multiples, and both tangible and intangible asset valuation.
* languages: bilingual english/spanish (essential for managing us-based clients).
* certifications: asa (american society of appraisers) certification or cfa candidacy is a significant plus.
