Start your journey as a *supplier quality engineer (sqe)*. In this role, you will ensure that external suppliers provide high-quality products, materials, and services that meet company and industry standards and work to continuously improve the performance of supplied components, assemblies, and outsourced processes.
*are you looking to*:
- promote continuous improvement techniques with suppliers to reduce variability, achieve process control, lower costs, and improve ppm (parts per million) performance.
- develop and implement metrics to monitor and evaluate supply base capabilities, including non-conformance tracking and supplier quality scorecard.
- conduct supplier quality audits.
- lead/participate in multifunctional teams in investigating and resolving non-conformities, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- collaborate with internal technical functions to address and improve product quality issues at the supplier level.
*are you ready to*:
- maintain supplier management strategies to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- prepare and present quarterly supplier performance ratings, offering improvement recommendations and leading improvement initiatives.
- provide support to design engineering in vendor part qualification.
- establish and maintain positive and effective communication channels with suppliers, teams, departments, customers, and vendors.
Job requirements:
*what you’ll need*:
- b.s. in an engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
- proficiency in the use of microsoft office and erp systems.
- must be bilingual, able to speak, read, and write english and spanish.
- must have a valid visa to travel to the u.s. as needed
