We are looking for a *lead business analyst*to join our team.
*responsibilities*
- analyze cobol programs to capture program logic, business rules, data mapping, lineage, and system dependencies
- collaborate with smes and technical teams to review and finalize reverse-engineered documentation
- coordinate and lead documentation review sessions and obtain sign-offs from smes
- support the rationalization of features, simplification of designs, and re-engineering of components for the new technology stack
- create business process flows and models based on reverse engineering and sme input
- advise on modern system design to ensure alignment with business goals
- act as a bridge between business and technical teams to keep project objectives aligned
- facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, validate information, and refine deliverables
- communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership
- maintain traceability between legacy and future-state systems
- ensure timely completion of deliverables and adherence to fixed-fee contract milestones
- assist with quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet required standards
*requirements*:
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
- minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or a similar role
- at least one year of experience leading and managing development teams
- technical expertise in api specifications and backend systems
- experience supporting product teams with story and feature management
- ability to understand product features, their value, and user interactions, and communicate these to product teams
- proficient in story slicing for delivering requirements to agile teams
- experience working with product owners and stakeholders to define epics, mvps, and iterative delivery plans
- ability to participate in technical grooming sessions with technology teams
- comfortable being on video for meetings as needed
- strong english communication skills, both written and spoken, at b2+ level or higher
