Failure analysis technician ii
responsibilities:
* under general supervision, follows established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to identify and research component failures to improve product quality and reliability.
* work with senior staff to define failure analysis strategies based on mid-low level investigation trends.
* responsible for identifying and researching component failures to improve product quality and reliability.
* enter each complaint part/device and investigation results onto a failure analysis database
* may provide assistance to junior staff with more general support tasks that require a better understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor.
* may refer to senior staff for assistance with higher level problems that may arise.
* escalates issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
* assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
* using knowledge of product able to provide reliable output on mid to low level investigations as directed by supervisor.
qualifications:
* high school diploma required.
* associates degree in electrical / mechanical or related technical field preferred.
* 0 - 4 years' related technical experience preferred
* ability to perform component level troubleshooting with general supervision desirable.
* ability to read and understand schematics and assembly drawings is a plus.
* good understanding of mechanics.
* visa to travel to us is required.
* bilingual (english / spanish). (required)
* excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* knowledgeable in structured problem solving.
* working knowledge of sap is a plus.
* strong computer skills with proficiency in microsoft office applications.
* strong attention to detail and highly organized.
