repornting to the reclaim manager based at the head office in canada, the primary focus will be on promoting and selling of the recycling program, with a specific emphasis on solder dross, a byproduct of electronics manufacturing.
the responsibilities will include:
- overseeing procurement, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and fostering strong relationships to ensure the recycling program's growth and success.
- identify and evaluate potential suppliers of solder dross materials in the electronics industry.
- negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and effective communication channels.
- coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of solder dross materials to our facilities.
- monitor market values, trends and industry developments to anticipate changes in supply, demand, and pricing of solder dross materials.
- collaborate with internal stakeholders, including customer service, production, ehs, transport and finance.
- maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier performance evaluations.
- stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the handling and disposal of solder dross materials.
*qualifications*
- 3 years of experience in sales, business development, purchasing, or commercial roles, preferably in the electronics, metal trading or recycling industry.
- fluency in english and spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control and logistics.
