they will be responsible to expedite & provide priorities to operations team and provide ship dates for backlog and open orders.
logistics specialist will also be responsible for delivery & shipment creation.essential functionsreasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.print & separate deliveries of automatic batch runcreate & update shipments (sid)solve a range of straightforward problems related to logistics.analyze logistics patterns and implement appropriate shipping strategies based upon standard procedures and protocolsprepare documentation for all shipment forms nyab using sap transactions, whether it is a ltl or full truckload of shipments.coordinate with sales, operations and shipping companies to resolve any issues.assist with sap wm cockpit, cycle counting and other warehouse type transactions when required.prepare daily workload in ams and oe areas for the warehouse associates and distribute to the stockroom for picking.create and maintain documentation manual and instructions for the warehouse.establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department as well as throughout the nyab sbu'sassures and maintains a sale and healthy working environmentfollow any and all company policies, procedures, practices and standards of conduct as outlined by knorr bremse & nyab manuals.perform all steps necessary to prepare documentation for international export shipments adhering to all to government regulations as it pertains to the export functionsmonitor and audit international direct (drop) shipments.
acts as a liaison between suppliers, nyab buyers and nyab sales department to ensure smooth material and paperwork flowperform all steps for annual nafta solicitation from vendors for nyab sbu, update product trade data in sapassist with assigning product tariff classifications, broker/forwarder correspondence, preparing nafta certificate.
for customers, preparing certificates of origin and other fta documentation, and various import/export operational tasksinitiate and submit us/canada customs entry discrepancies, to include amending and/or removing any applicable duty chargesperforms any additional assignments directed by managementmust understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (kpis), as defined in the goal tree.support psa activities and procedures with team membersperform all those activities that by the nature of the position are requiredmanagement & supervisory responsibilitiesthis position has no supervisory responsibilities.knowledgeintermediate to advanced knowledge of sap (pp, mm, and wm modules).
