Job summary
celebrity cleaners, also known as public area attendants, are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas onboard a cruise ship.
key responsibilities
1. maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition by performing duties such as cleaning public bathrooms, elevators, offices, corridors, public areas, and crew member quarters.
2. clean, maintain, and replenish towels and amenities in the spa area including bathroom, lockers, showers, gym area, gym equipment, and reception area if assigned.
3. clean carpet, upholstery, floor, walls, ceilings, draperies, windows, and room accessories to remove effects of smoke, dust, water, and other damage.
4. dust furniture, wash windows, walls, ceilings, woodwork, and door panels. Polish brass and other metal fixtures.
5. notify management of malfunctioning equipment or maintenance issues in public/crew areas.
6. assist food service personnel in collecting soiled glasses, china, cutlery, etc. and transport to designated collection areas.
7. assist room service team with delivering breakfast orders and collection/dish out process.
8. emptiy and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays, and transport trash to disposal area.
9. transport guest's luggage to assigned areas during embarkation and disembarkation.
requirements
* more than 6 months of cleaning experience in a luxury environment.
* knowledge of using and mixing various cleaning agents and chemicals.
* ability to operate steam cleaning equipment, vacuum cleaner, and various hand and power tools.
* proficiency in spanish or european languages.
* demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
