Territory delivery manager
key responsibilities
* responsible for the commercial performance in the delivery of our projects and services
* responsible for customer satisfaction with our delivery of projects and services
* primary point of contact for sales for pursuits and business development
* become delivery partner to ia commercial vp driving revenue, gm, and cash thus allowing ia commercial vp to focus on growth strategy
* lead project managers as well as engineering and service leaders to perform the above goal
* leverage functional support to meet business needs
* participate in regional meetings and adopt the best practices informed
* responsible for conducting project review meetings in the third week of the month, registering project status and actions in sgv tools
* responsible for communicating relevant announcements, news, goals, etc to team members
territory delivery manager – value proposition
* experts in project and service management processes, comfortable with financial terms and tools, and generally knowledgeable of technical solutions and tools
* execute their portfolio of projects and services in a predictable manner with regards to revenue, gm, and cash with high levels of customer satisfaction
* enable the organization to profitably scale and handle broader, more complex projects and services
* use prior knowledge of the project and service execution process to structure winnable deals working with sales
* often lead the proposal efforts for new opportunities applying lessons learned and newly improved practices to enable more competitive offers
* ensures competitive, best‑cost development working with project managers and engineering leader or service leader on opportunities that balance execution plan, risk, and cost
* facilitates discussions with sales to determine delivery value, and builds project/services teams that capitalize on value recognized by the customer
* ensure project manager performance is consistent by understanding the strengths and development needs of each individual, and coaching the team to put people in the right roles for success
territory delivery manager must be able to understand and perform the activities based on our process and procedures, following our governance and cadence process as well as the associated tools:
* sgv & sap – manage projects using this tool, handle risks, opportunities, contingency, issues, change orders, produce financial accurate forecasts, track revenue, gm and cash, and manage billing plans
* resource planning tools or rmt (input from engineering leaders, service leaders, project managers). Take proper actions on time and manner
* proposals support – provide execution plans, labor estimation, risk assessments, and scope of work analysis for third‑party service providers (working with project purchasing)
* financial reviews – analyze the pack reports in advance and present to regional delivery director every month, explaining gaps and actions
* promote the use of knowledge management to reuse engineering work
* skills management – prepare annual training plans based on skills gap analysis. Assure that engineering leaders and service leaders also prepare the training plan for their teams
* development/review of individual career path
