Production planning role
as a member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing production schedules that meet customer demands. This involves analyzing raw materials and optimizing production processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
key responsibilities
- plan and prioritize production operations to minimize delays
- coordinate production flow across multiple products or families of products
- monitor output and on-time completion of work orders to ensure production plan dates are met
- schedule demand in shifts according to production needs
- address issues promptly to mitigate any interruption to the production schedule
- communicate status of production plan through performance reports
- collaborate with production support groups such as quality, engineering, and warehouse
- prepare and analyze expected revenue and shipping projections
- communicate with customer service representatives on inquiries
- analyze and monitor on-time delivery at a granular level to ensure customer request dates are met
- participate in lean projects and propose strategies for continuous improvement
- monitor and revise inventory levels to maintain optimal strategies and avoid stockouts or overstocking
requirements
- bachelor's degree in a related field
- at least 3 years of experience creating production plans
- proven problem-solving skills and knowledge of epr and mrp
- experience in high mix / low volume operations, smt, back end, manual assy, automated process
- advanced excel knowledge
