The key account manager at ceva mexico plays a pivotal role within the business development division, focusing on managing and expanding strategic customer relationships in targeted industry verticals such as automotive, consumer & retail, high tech, and industrial sectors. This position demands a proactive approach to both retaining and growing current accounts while actively identifying and converting new business prospects to strengthen our market presence in mexico. About the role: as a key account manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their logistics needs are met with tailored, high-quality solutions. You will apply your in-depth knowledge of the assigned industry vertical's supply chain challenges and trends to provide expert consultation and seamless service delivery. Collaborating closely with ceva's global and regional account management teams, you will align strategies and leverage the wider network to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth. Key responsibilities: account management: build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with active clients to promote customer loyalty and satisfaction. New business development: research and pursue emerging opportunities within the assigned sector, utilising market insights and industry expertise to expand the customer portfolio. Industry expertise: stay informed on sector-specific logistics requirements, emerging trends, and potential challenges to advise clients effectively and anticipate their evolving needs. Solution selling: partner with internal teams including sales, operations, and technical experts to design customised freight forwarding solutions that deliver measurable value to clients. Cross-functional collaboration: work in harmony with ceva's global account management (gam) and regional account management (ram) teams to synchronize efforts and optimise business outcomes on a regional and global scale. Performance analysis: monitor account metrics such as revenue growth, profitability, and client satisfaction, preparing comprehensive reports to inform management decisions and strategic planning. Contract negotiation and management: lead contract discussions to ensure mutually beneficial agreements that uphold company objectives and client expectations. Market intelligence: continuously assess competitive activity and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities, adjusting account strategies accordingly. Profile requirements: demonstrated experience in freight forwarding or logistics, ideally within key account management or a similar client-facing role. Strong understanding of the supply chain dynamics and logistical challenges within the assigned industry vertical. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build lasting partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. Proven ability to collaborate across functions and cultural boundaries, operating effectively within an international business environment. Strategic thinker with a strong customer-focus, capable of aligning account plans to long-term business development goals. Proficiency in market analysis and performance reporting tools to guide data-driven decision-making. Fluency in both spanish and english is highly desirable to facilitate communication with clients and internal teams.
