This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects, navigate complex cross-border tax matters, and play a key part in optimizing tax performance across our portfolio.key responsibilities- oversee full-cycle tax management for construction projects, ensuring compliance with mexican tax regulations and mitigating risks. - handle monthly and annual tax filings for isr (income tax), iva (vat), ieps, stamp duty, and other applicable taxes. - manage tax audits, inspections, and disputes with sat (tax administration service) and other authorities. - provide strategic tax planning to optimize costs using sino-mexican tax treaties and local incentives. - prepare tax reports and analysis for internal stakeholders and the china headquarters. - collaborate with finance and audit teams to support internal and external audits. - stay updated on tax law changes and proactively adjust strategies to ensure compliance. - support cross-border tax matters including transfer pricing, related-party transactions, and cross-border payments.qualifications- bachelor's degree in public accounting, taxation, or finance. - 8+ years of tax experience, with at least 3 years in the construction or engineering sector. - strong knowledge of mexican tax laws (isr, iva, ieps) and experience working with sat. - proven experience with chinese-funded or multinational companies is a strong plus. - fluent in english and spanish (written and spoken). - independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex tax matters.required credentials- cpc (certified public accountant) – contador público certificado - cédula profesional – issued by sep - registered with agaf (federal tax audit service)why join us?- work on major infrastructure and engineering projects across mexico - collaborative environment bridging chinese and mexican business cultures - competitive compensation package aligned with senior-level expertise - opportunity to shape tax strategy in a fast-growing sectorready to make an impact?
