role purpose
serve as the primary strategic partner and single point of contact for associates and leaders by addressing all human resources–related requirements and inquiries. Ensure effective communication, policy compliance, and strong associate engagement across the ibu/department, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
key responsibilities
associate support & relationship management
act as the primary hr contact for associates, addressing hr-related requirements, concerns, and inquiries.
provide continuous, proactive support to associates to enhance engagement, motivation, and retention.
act as a facilitator in resolving associates' grievances, ensuring fair, timely, and compliant resolution.
associate lifecycle management
manage and support the full associate lifecycle within the ibu/department, including:
onboarding and integration
engagement and performance discussions
offboarding and exit processes
ensure all lifecycle touchpoints align with company policies, culture, and compliance standards.
engagement & culture building
plan, implement, and drive associate engagement initiatives tailored to the needs of the ibu/department.
strengthen associate relations through:
counseling and coaching
mentoring and development guidance
communication & feedback mechanisms
ensure consistent, transparent, and effective communication by providing structured platforms for associates to share feedback, raise concerns, and express opinions, such as:
coffee chats
focus groups or engagement forums
policy compliance & discipline management
enforce and promote alignment with hr policies, company guidelines, and applicable labor regulations.
manage floor discipline and disciplinary matters, ensuring fairness, documentation accuracy, and adherence to internal and legal standards.
data administration & reporting
maintain accurate and up-to-date hr data for the unit, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with hr and business requirements.
provide insights and feedback to management regarding hr trends, associate concerns, and policy effectiveness.
stakeholder collaboration
partner closely with operations, leadership teams, and cross-functional hr areas to support business objectives.
deliver hr solutions that enhance productivity, engagement, and organizational performance.
required experience and qualifications
8 to 10 years of human resources experience, preferably within a bpo / contact center environment.
strong knowledge of hr policies, employee relations, engagement strategies, and disciplinary processes.
proven experience partnering with operations and leadership teams.
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.

a business analyst (ba) role at cimmyt
a business analyst (ba) represents the interests of a specific functional area (e.g., finance, hr, procurement, legal, or the programmatic chapter) and plays a key role throughout the corporate it applications life cycle. The ba gathers and analyzes business needs, translating them into it requirements, ensuring alignment with functional strategies and goals. Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and kmit teams, the ba ensures clear communication, mutual understanding of objectives, timelines, and constraints.
the ba prioritizes requirements, balancing business value with it feasibility and costs while managing interdependencies between cross-functional business processes and it systems. They define the scope of projects, manage scope creep, and adapt to changing needs. Additionally, the ba leads testing of new applications and change requests to ensure that solutions meet business expectations and resolve arising issues.
throughout the process, the ba maintains documentation, manages stakeholder relationships, and ensures the successful delivery of itsolutions aligned with business goals. The ba is essential in ensuring it projects deliver value and align with business priorities.
the ba should be an experienced professional, knowledgeable of corporate and departmental strategies and goals, fully trusted by their principal, highly respected by colleagues and consultant partners, and possess seniority and expertise.
key responsibilities
requirement analysis and documentation
align user it strategy and actions with the overall department strategy, ensuring a clear understanding of the principal's (department head's) objectives and priorities, and ensuring it requirements reflect those goals.
secure the appropriate level of delegation to represent the department when articulating it requirements and priorities.
translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for kmit, documenting and presenting them according to kmit procedures.
when necessary, prepare benefit statements for business cases related to functionality and/or change requests for applications.
serve as the focal point with kmit to consolidate and prioritize improvement or change requests, as well as reporting and assigning the severity of incident reports
act as a bridge between business and it teams, clarifying questions and concerns.
facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather input from stakeholders within the department, ensuring their needs are well-represented and harmonized.
for cross-departmental applications, collaborate with other bas to harmonize requirements, resolve interdependencies, and negotiate kmit priorities. This is specially relevant for business process modeling that spans multiple departments.
evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements or opportunities for automation.
brief and prepare his/her principal for steering committee sessions; the principal may decide on the ba's participation as a backbencher.
develop user manuals, process guides, and training materials for end users, and coordinate training programs for department users.
lead testing teams to assess new functionality or changes to applications introduced by kmit.
assist in the creation of test cases or acceptance criteria for user testing.
coordinate and support user acceptance testing (uat) to validate that solutions meet business needs and recommend the sign-off of the department principal.
requirements
finance education background.
minimum of 5 years of experience in understanding of it systems, databases, and the software development life cycle.
proficiency with tools such as microsoft excel, visio, jira, or similar for process mapping and requirement tracking.
professional certifications such as: cbap (certified business analysis professional), pmi-pba (project management institute - professional in business analysis)
experience working in cross-functionalteams, particularly bridging business and it functions.
familiarity with enterprise systems such as erp (e.g., sap, oracle), hris, or financial software.
