A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced materials and logistics manager to oversee production control, materials planning, and logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels, on-time customer delivery, and efficient production flow while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
key responsibilities
* develop and execute production plans aligned with customer demand and plant capacity.
* oversee material planning to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
* manage inventory levels, accuracy, and control processes to minimize excess and shortages.
* lead logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation.
* collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, production, quality, and sales to ensure seamless material flow.
* monitor and improve key performance indicators (kpis) such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and production adherence.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs, efficiency, and service levels.
* lead, coach, and develop the materials team.
* ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, or related field (master's preferred).
* 5–8+ years of experience in production control, material planning, and logistics within a manufacturing environment.
* proven experience managing and developing teams.
* strong knowledge of erp/mrp systems.
* advanced english proficiency.
* strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
