as an analyst, you will work remotely by supporting projects for our existing clients. While the remote position is based in mexico, all business will be conducted in english. Day-to-day activities will include:
- analyze large data sets from members/suppliers to identify and categorize indirect spend and provide preliminary assessment of cost reduction opportunities using ms excel, power bi and other business intelligence tools.
- perform detailed data analysis to assess the effectiveness of current pricing models, analyze technical specifications of products, and review annual volumes to benchmark skus with identified supplier partners.
- analyze accounts payable data/supplier data using extract, transform and load (etl) processes for spend cube analysis and compliance tracking.
- develop analytical and data visualizations and dashboards using ms excel and power bi.
- analyze purchasing patterns to rationalize skus and drive cost savings using optimization techniques.
- audit supplier pricing files to ensure accuracy and to monitor price discrepancies against established contracts.
- work with national and regional suppliers on special pricing arrangements, pricing challenges, and purchasing actions for special projects and programs.
- other duties as assigned. Must be willing to travel to usa at least once a year.
