data engineerrole summarythe data engineer is responsible for operating and supporting partner and retailer data ingestion pipelines, ensuring reliable, secure, and standardized ingestion into managed data platforms.
the role emphasizes schema validation, normalization, data quality, exception handling, and refresh governance across high-volume partner feeds.key responsibilities- monitor scheduled ingestion of partner and retailer feeds (cdm / edi / portal-based).
- validate incoming data against predefined schemas and standardized ingestion templates.
- perform automated data cleansing and normalization across sku, partner, and channel hierarchies.
- identify, log, and triage ingestion failures, data anomalies, and incomplete loads.
- execute monthly refresh validation and data reconciliation checks.
- onboard new partner feeds using templated and governed ingestion frameworks.
- ensure data governance, security, compliance, and auditability requirements are met.required skills & experience- multi-source data ingestion and etl pipeline support.
- schema modeling, normalization, and reusable data design.
- data validation, reconciliation, and refresh cadence management.
- experience with enterprise data platforms and governed data environments.
