- join our team in a part-time position while you're in college yet
the position is based in *guadalajara *with big chances of getting a full time position
- you'll be learning about* forwarding merchandise, international tems, incoterms, fms software, tracking shipments, audits and billing via air, ocean, in land* and related topics.
- applicants should be self-starters, detail oriented, comfortable with tight deadlines, and able to work and communicate well with other team members.
*25 hours weekly* are required for you to join our team

*about the position*
essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
other duties may be assigned.
- tracking, tracing, and updating the status of shipments on a daily basis.
- activities related to air freight.
- conducting an ams download on a daily basis.
- accurate and timely data entry into our system (freightstream).
- monitoring of reports.
- accurate and timely billing to customers.
- maintaining strong and effective relationships with vendors (shipping lines, trucking companies, etc.).
- meet key performance indicators to support the department, branch, product and overall company goals.
- must have the desire to understand the operational process flow and constantly seeking improved ways for efficiency.
- reporting workflow progress to management on a frequent basis.
- the operations coordinator will be scheduled to attend mandatory training classes as needed.
- the operations coordinator is primarily responsible for tracking, tracing, and updating shipments while developing and maintaining good relationships with carriers, truckers, customers and warehouses, etc.
- the operations coordinator also ensures that shipments and deliveries arrive in a timely manner by meeting several deadlines throughout the process.
- creating internal customer profiles in freightstream to provide all departments with detailed customer information when needed.
- using judgment and knowledge to assist customers in making the most suitable choice for their needs.
- providing quotations to customers when required.
- direct customer questions/concerns to the correct department as needed.
*work schedule*
gdl office 8:00 am - 1:00 pm cst (negotiable)

- bachelor degree in *international business*, trade, commerce or related education.
- minimum of 6 months of related work experience and/or training
