responsibilities
manage people – ensure that safety rules for maintenance activities are defined, consistent and applied (such as loto procedure). Manage maintenance supervisors. Manage age pyramid to organize competence transfer toward successors. Manage training plan for team including technical skills using magic square.
ensure that the team is trained to qrqc: line qrqc, maintenance 5 whys, pdca/fta. Builds training program to educate direct labour to maintenance basics. Performs tpm ojts.
manage standards – participate in tpm deployment with production teams. Manage global equipment reliability action plan. Optimize maintenance costs during corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Implement maintenance qrqc red box & maintenance department visual key indicators. Co‑manage with the apu manager the maintenance qrqc. Detect refurbishing/renewal needs and build action plan. Lead delegation of preventive maintenance level 1 & 2 to production teams; ensure direct labour is properly trained and ojt is in place. Ensure preventive maintenance is organized and done according to need, with planning and communication to production teams (mps). Participate actively in mother daughter link concerning the maintenance field.
manage continuous improvement – lead kaizen actions to improve in maintenance field, such as accessibility to organs. Manage productivity action plan (spare parts, energy). Manage vps workshops (tpm, 5s) and participate to stop scrap activity. Propose to plant manager and manage maintenance budget. Propose and drive maintenance strategy. Implement communication flow with equipment development teams. Provide maintenance lessons learned (kaizen card). Back to design flow.
contribute to successful new projects – ensure that maintenance contributes to new equipment launches and participate in lean process design. Ensure that rules concerning equipment manufacturer assistance onsite/at distance are involved in specifications & contracts negotiated by the purchase department. Participate in maintenance contract negotiation with purchasing department. Participate in definition of standard parts to be requested in site general specifications for new equipment. Use experience & methodology (erim, tpm, ...) to propose improvements on new machines & associated equipment.
additional responsibilities – responsible for facilities of the building: energy reduction plan, optimization and follow up of iso */cap 50. Building repairment, maintenance of general installations. All permissions with government, electrical, structural studies, etc. Following norm. In charge of spare parts and tool room warehouse.
