typical accountabilities
* 3–5 years of experience in database administration
* strong oracle database administration experience, including rac, high‑availability, and performance tuning
* proficient in data restore/recovery techniques and database migration (on‑premises to cloud, oracle to postgresql, 10/11 to 18c)
* experience managing multiple rdbms on large systems and working in a high‑availability service team
* knowledge of operating systems (windows, unix, linux) and oracle oem monitoring
* basic pl/sql knowledge and scripting skills (e.g., python, shell)
* experience with cloud databases such as aws redshift, dynamodb, aurora, and open‑source databases (mongodb, mysql, postgresql)
* itil knowledge required, with experience in incidents, problems, changes, and capacity management
* flexibility to work rotational shifts covering americas, emea and asiapac 24/7

* bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of operational database administration experience
* itil foundation certified
* oracle certified master certified
