position description
the production superintendent is responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing activities of production supervisors and group supervisors. They ensure the achievement of goals related to productivity, quality, orderliness, cleanliness, safety, and environment, as well as customer satisfaction both internal and external.
key responsibilities
* evaluate daily production results.
* assess reports of defective materials from various areas.
* control material flow at all production stages.
* manage statistical information.
* oversee, evaluate, and motivate assigned supervisors.
* facilitate and participate in problem-solving teams.
* analyze and report plant metrics and indicators.
* proactively pursue continuous improvement.
* identify, develop, and conduct training for supervisors.
* coordinate staff training.
* achieve set objectives and goals.
* maintain order and cleanliness in the production plant.
* ensure the safety of production personnel.
* support and participate in meeting quality, safety, and environmental objectives, including ppms, scrap reduction, and timely deliveries.
required education and qualifications
* industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineer (preferably).
* minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* bilingual: english and spanish.
* knowledge and application of problem-solving techniques.
* understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
* statistical analysis skills.
* ability to organize and manage personnel.
* leadership and teamwork skills.
