Rocket lawyer is seeking an experienced front end engineer that is passionate about building mobile and desktop web applications. This position is full-time and is based in our saltillo office.
responsibilities:
1. work with product designers to implement the next generation of rocket lawyer products.
2. build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems.
3. identify and address performance bottlenecks.
4. participate in design and code reviews.
5. interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.
6. identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering.
requirements:
1. expert knowledge of javascript.
2. expert knowledge of latest web technologies (html5/css3).
3. ability to write high-performance, reusable code for ui components.
4. aware of but not reliant on object oriented javascript frameworks (jquery, prototype js, mootools, dojo, etc.).
5. experience with integrating back-end web services via rest-based apis.
6. experience developing rich applications with html/css/js/ajax.
7. passion for performance debugging and benchmarking.
8. 3+ years of experience building web applications.
9. bs or ms degree in computer science or a related technical field.
highly desired:
1. knowledge of web architecture and the http protocol.
2. experience with angular.js, backbone.js, and handlebars.js.
3. experience with mvc development.
4. knowledge of caching strategies.
5. experience developing responsive websites for web, tablets, and smartphones.
