*description*:
- the data architect is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant data storage regulations and the development of data architecture standards and aligning them with global standards.
_
- collaboration with product owners, opco leadership, and product architects is essential, as the data architect advises on external perspectives and innovations related to data architecture._
*activities*:
- _develop and maintain the data architecture roadmaps, making sure that they are in line with the global architecture strategy._
- _understand business requirements and translate them into data models, data warehouse schemas, and data stream architectures based on fair (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) principals._
- _ensure implementation of data architecture standards for data collection, maintenance, storage, and organization and align these with the global standards._
- _ensure adherence to all relevant regulations regarding data storage._
- _oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions._
- _ensure together with product architects that there are robust roadmaps to reach the defined future state in line with frameworks and principles._
- _stay on top of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data platforms and architecture, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement._
*requirements*:
- education: bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, systems design, computer sciences, or a related field_
- experience: 5+ years of experience with it architecture and/or data management_
- technical skills:_
- _experience with delivering thought leadership and crafting high level strategy on data structure and architecture._
- _data modeling tools: erwin, visio_
- _sql knowledge_
- _knowledge of data architecture principles and data design principles (eg. Medallion architecture)_
- _proven experience with architecture frameworks and concepts (e.g. Etl management, cloud stacks, etc.)_
