on a typical day, you will:
* work closely with managers across the cmbdo organization (marketing, business development, practice management, and client experience) and other departments to develop and implement event strategies aligned with overall marketing and firm goals.
* develop and execute comprehensive event strategies aligned with the firm’s marketing and business development goals.
* partner with marketing, business development teams, and practice group leaders to identify event opportunities that support client relationship-building and thought leadership.
* create and promote scalable guidelines, streamlined processes, best practices, and sops to enhance client event execution across the organization.
* identify potential opportunities for new client event programs that align with integrated marketing campaigns.
* innovate with novel event approaches to increase client engagement through events.
* supervise, mentor, and develop a team of two senior marketing event planners.
* manage workload, oversee performance, and support professional growth of team members.
* develop and manage event budgets, track expenditures, and report roi metrics.
* collaborate with crm and business development teams for pre- and post-event communications, contact targeting, and analytics.
* coordinate with marketing operations to manage event technology, vendor relationships, and interactive technologies.
* monitor and analyze event metrics, preparing reports to inform future planning.

* 8-10 years of event management experience, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or corporate setting.
* proven leadership in managing a team and multiple complex events.

* ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* proficiency with event management software (cvent), microsoft office suite, and crm systems (e.g., dealcloud).
