takeda’s innovation capability center (icc) in mexico city invites a principal business analyst to lead business analysis activities of medium to high complexity, working closely with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams within the captivate planisware platform.
responsibilities
* act as the primary functional interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring requests are clearly understood, properly scoped, and aligned with business objectives.
* own the review of configuration issues and data model changes, assessing functional dependencies and identifying technical complexity before governance approval.
* own the full closure sequence for all gated request types, including functional testing against delivery requirements, coordination of end‑user validation, formal sign‑off, and communication to the requestor.
* co‑present enhancement requests to the product backlog review council alongside the requestor, providing functional clarity and well‑defined scope to support prioritization decisions.
* partner with the devops specialist on data model changes, reporting fixes, and integration enhancements, validating outputs across both the planisware platform and associated data pipelines.
* execute functional testing and coordinate end‑user validation activities.
* operate effectively within a post‑go‑live or run‑state support environment.
* demonstrate familiarity with tiered support models and itsm concepts, including support queues and slas.
* translate business requirements into delivery‑ready user stories for technical teams.
* identify and analyse business problems and requirements that drive organisational change.
* develop business requirements that address both business challenges and opportunities.
* collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
* work independently on high‑complexity business analysis tasks, delivering outputs aligned with company standards.
* gather, analyse, and document software specifications and business requirements through discussions, workshops, interviews, and refinement sessions.
* decompose business needs into clear specifications, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
* manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
* communicate complex or sensitive information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
* influence and persuade stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
skills and qualifications
must‑have
* bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
* 12+ years of experience in business analysis.
* 5+ years of experience in a lean/agile development environment.
* familiarity with agile tools (e.g., jira, confluence).
* strong end‑to‑end business analysis skills: gathering, analysing, and documenting business and system requirements.
* experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
* proficiency in sql and data analysis using excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
* experience working across multiple systems and documenting data flows and system interactions.
* highly organised, with the ability to break down complex problems and prioritise effectively.
* strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
* fluency in english.
nice‑to‑have
* experience in life sciences, healthcare, or the pharmaceutical industry (strongly preferred).
* certification in business analysis (e.g., cbap, bcs, or similar).
* familiarity or working knowledge of tools such as jira and qtest.
