Job number:*category:-mfg & supply chain sbua technical group leader / engineering manager job is currently available at belcan.this opportunity will be located at the belcan querétaro-méxico office.this job is a full-time direct position with benefits, and will manage all aspects of a team performance (project execution for projects assigned) while interfacing directly with the customer and leading a team of engineers.this job will be responsible for working hand-in-hand with the customer to execute deliverables in a timely manner while remaining on budget, and ultimately completing projects at hand while also identifying new project opportunities to support.job dutiesensures team compliance in terms of the belcan and cognizant policies and customer's contracts.builds and maintains discipline and morale for his/her group.supports belcan principles as a standard operation environment of people first.responsible for team billability metrics & targets.ensures project completion providing leadership to the team to ensure all projects and programs meet deliverable quality requirements (internal and customer) and project directives as well as statutory/regulatory requirements as needed.manages current team staff and plans for future needs and/or staff adjustments.plays a key role in team integration across the belcan-cognizant organization.directly interacts and grow customer relationships, while establishes the appropriate level of communication and corrective actions with the customer to ensure a high level of satisfaction.identify new projects and growth opportunities and develop a plan to address them in a local and global team operating environment.provides technical leadership to his team in areas of his/her knowledge and ensures adequate engagement from other experts when needed.ensures mentorship and training to the engineering team is established according to identified gaps.approves employees' weekly timecards, conduct any needed performance evaluations and standard management responsibilities.provides back up to the project managers; managing the development of new or revised proposals for potential or existing projects and defining changes of the project work scope.performs contract review upon receipt of new or revised funding and collaborating with the customer on resolution of any issues related to the contract.monitors project progress to ensure time, costs, budget, and quality are met.addresses problems and opportunities quickly and elevating concerns to your supervisor.qualifications / requirementsbachelor degree minimum, +10 yrs relevant experience.msc or relevant certifications strongly recommended.experience with customer service and relationships as they relate to engineering principles/services.ge aerospace customer and products proven knowledge.previous experience in a leadership position as senior technical leader, project manager, operations manager, or program manager.technical experience involving systems engineering, software, controls and fluids and electrical systems.must have excellent oral and written communication with the ability to present information at various levels of the business in spanish (primary) and english.ability to learn quickly and work independently.candidate must be well organized and have a strong attention to detail.mexican nationality and legal visa to travel across the u.s. is required.this opportunity is for queretaro mexico, it does not allow hybrid nor remote options, it needs to be fully presential at belcan querétaro offices.ability to travel when needed (less than 25% - pending on locations).
