the global it team is responsible for the implementation of enterprise architecture and the development and maintenance of the organization\'s computing/it environment. You will work with the team to determine and develop architectural approaches and solutions, document current systems, and develop recommendations on how to proceed with applications.
this role in summary
whirlpool is seeking a global information technology senior analyst specializing in ecommerce and direct-to-consumer (d2c) it ecosystems. This role is based in apodaca, nuevo leon, mexico, and requires a professional with strong experience in digital platforms, particularly ecommerce solutions such as vtex, and a deep understanding of the technical needs within d2c operations. The senior analyst will partner with business stakeholders, it teams, and external vendors across the latin america region (lar) to design, implement, and support ecommerce solutions, ensuring it capabilities align with business objectives in the d2c space.
your responsibilities will include
* act as the technical subject matter expert for ecommerce platforms and ensure solutions are optimized for d2c operations.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement it solutions that enhance the d2c customer experience, including payment processing, fulfillment, and post-purchase support.
* lead the design, development, and integration of ecommerce systems with erp and crm platforms.
technical requirements, analysis & delivery
* work with business stakeholders to identify ecommerce and d2c requirements, documenting them into actionable technical specifications.
* analyze gaps in current platforms and propose it-driven improvements to enhance scalability, usability, and performance in ecommerce ecosystems.
* oversee the development lifecycle of it solutions, ensuring delivery on time and within budget, aligned with stakeholder expectations.
* collaborate with it development teams and external vendors to manage integrations, testing, and deployments of ecommerce features and enhancements.
it operations & support for d2c
* lead troubleshooting efforts and ensure high availability of ecommerce systems.
* establish and monitor kpis for ecommerce platform performance, collaborating with it support teams to resolve incidents efficiently.
technical leadership & collaboration
* bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of goals.
* mentor junior it team members and guide external consultants or contractors on ecommerce-related projects.
process optimization & innovation
* identify opportunities to streamline ecommerce and d2c processes, focusing on automation, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
* stay informed about emerging ecommerce technologies and recommend innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
technical skills & requirements
* advanced proficiency with ecommerce platforms and digital marketing tools.
* knowledge and experience with google marketing tools (e.g., google analytics, google tag manager).
* experience with ecommerce technical architecture and integrations, including apis.
* expertise in react and node.js fundamentals.
* advanced pc literacy and familiarity with cloud-based tools and platforms.
minimum requirements
* bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
* 5+ years in it roles, with specific experience supporting ecommerce and d2c ecosystems from an it perspective.
* proven track record of working with ecommerce platforms (e.g., vtex, magento, shopify) and integrating them with erp/crm systems.
* understanding of digital marketing technologies and customer engagement tools.
* experience with vtex and knowledge of their technical architecture; familiarity with payment gateways, api integrations, and data privacy/security best practices.
* exposure to agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (sdlc).
ecommerce platforms & digital marketing
* deep understanding of major ecommerce platforms (vtex, magento, shopify, salesforce commerce cloud, woocommerce).
* experience with integrating ecommerce platforms with other systems (erp, crm, payment gateways).
* proficiency with digital marketing tools (google analytics, google ads, facebook ads, hubspot, marketo) and knowledge of seo/sem strategies.
* familiarity with web technologies and react/node.js fundamentals; understanding of cms and web development frameworks.
data, api & security
* strong skills in data analysis and reporting tools (sql, excel, tableau).
* experience with api development and integration; knowledge of restful and soap apis.
* understanding of database systems (mysql, postgresql, mongodb).
* awareness of ecommerce security best practices and compliance requirements (pci dss, gdpr).
