We are currently looking for an experienced lead java developer to enhance our vibrant team. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with a prominent wealth management firm that operates using a broker-dealer model. This position provides an opportunity to serve as a senior developer within a cross-functional scrum team, making substantial contributions to the success of both the project and the team.
Responsibilities
- create, improve, and sustain java codebases
- build backend micro-services and rest apis
- conduct thorough unit testing
- carry out detailed code reviews
- maintain adherence to coding standards including unit testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and other established best practices
- take an active role in scrum ceremonies
- participate in estimation and planning sessions to align with project goals
- guide and mentor junior developers, ensuring effective collaboration within the team
*requirements*:
- bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; master’s degree in computer science is advantageous
- more than 5 years of java development experience, with a robust emphasis on backend systems
- at least one year of experience in leadership and team management
- proficiency in kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices management
- comprehensive knowledge of microservice architecture patterns
- experience with microsoft azure for implementing cloud services and solutions
- skilled in the development and integration of rest apis
- competence in unit testing methods and tools
- fluent in english with a proficiency at a c1 level or higher
nice to have
- experience in the financial services sector, particularly in wealth management
- knowledge of apache kafka for managing real-time data feeds
- experience with docker for containerization and consistent deployment environments
- proficiency in sql for effective database management and data manipulation
