job overview:
the business analyst at tubescience will be instrumental in driving project success through
effective requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and ensuring high-quality
deliverables.
this position reports to the chief data officer and will play a key role in the
software development life cycle (sdlc), ensuring that project specifications are accurately
documented and agreed upon by all stakeholders.
key responsibilities:
- lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand and document
business needs.
- facilitate stakeholder meetings to ensure clear communication, understanding, and
alignment throughout the sdlc.
- obtain formal sign-off on requirements and project stages from stakeholders, ensuring
clarity and agreement.
- manage and prioritize stakeholder expectations, resolving conflicts and ensuring project
alignment with business goals.
- oversee the quality control process, ensuring that deliverables meet the agreed
specifications and quality standards.
- develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements,
project plans, progress reports, and final deliverables.
- coordinate with project teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are compatible
with the documented requirements.
- implement and maintain project management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
- monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact
timelines or quality.
- provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on project status and
any potential risks.
qualifications:
- bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
- years of experience in a business analyst or similar role, preferably in a
technology-driven environment.
- demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and
project management.
strong understanding of the sdlc and quality control processes.
- excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., ms project, jira).
- strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
additional skills (optional):
- certification in business analysis or project management (e.g., cbap, pmp).
- experience in agile methodologies.
