We have an opportunity for a *sourcing engineer.*
*duties and responsibilities*:
- supports in research & development of new direct materials and revision changes.
- supports npi, transfers, re-design sourcing activities related.
- sample development and vendor recommendations through strategic selection driven by audits, negotiation rounds and supplier performance/ customer service.
- works closely with vendors during production process to resolve issues.
- negotiates payment terms and pricing with vendors to satisfy customer/corporate margin expectations.
- drives raw material/ trim development process in accordance with timelines for product development; coordinates amongst qa/qc, technical service and compliance to ensure timeline is met.
- proposes cost-effective ways for material sourcing based on the latest technologies and trends.
- establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs.
- negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients.
- monitoring market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.
- partnering with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, identify marketplace trends.
