responsibilities
as a successful project manager in technology expert labs, you will lead a team of technical experts to ensure the formulation, development, and implementation of projects that meet and exceed the client's business objectives. In this role, you will work closely with client stakeholders and the ibm team to meet the overall integrated solution plan, budget, schedule, and staffing requirements while exceeding your client's expectations. Project managers at ibm succeed by demonstrating a natural bias towards self‑motivation and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and presenting solutions.
* project management: creating and executing project management plans including, financial, scope, and change, deliverables and communication controls.
* cross‑team communication: strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the client, partner, and account team on project status.
* reporting and metrics management: report and strategize solutions for managing project metrics including project health, financials‑costs, revenue, and gross profit, team productivity, and client satisfaction.
* building credibility and influences: navigating across venues to resolve issues, developing and documenting risk mitigation strategies, providing project direction that quickly builds credibility and influences as a trusted advisor.

* define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
* manage project financials, including revenue, cost, profitability, forecasting, and invoicing milestones.
* establish and maintain project governance, reporting, and communication plans.
* manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project‑related matters.
* coordinate cross‑functional teams, including architects, developers, consultants, support engineers, and business stakeholders.
* identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
* monitor project performance through kpis, milestones, and service‑level commitments.
* ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and ibm delivery methodologies.
* facilitate executive steering committee meetings and status reviews.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned activities.
* support change management processes and scope management.
* collaborate with sales, pre‑sales, and delivery teams during project transitions and service expansions.
required qualifications
* 5+ years of experience managing software implementation, integration, support, or transformation projects.
* proven experience managing distributed and multicultural teams.
* strong understanding of software development lifecycle (sdlc), agile, scrum, and waterfall methodologies.
* excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.
* advanced english proficiency (written and verbal).
preferred technical and professional experience
* pmp (project management professional) certification.
* agile certifications (scrum master, safe, pmi‑acp, or equivalent).
* experience with ibm software portfolio, including:
