responsibilities
* attend the daily line-up and check daily menus, discussing changes in your section with the sous chefs.
* keep the kitchens clean and sanitary according to etéreo & distintivo h standards.
* sort waste appropriately by recyclable, compostable, or nonrenewable.
* we produce trim, not scraps. Utilizing trim to make something else is part of what we do.
* taste your mise en place. Taste everything.
* use equipment with care and clean them properly after each use.
* use clear communication in the kitchen.
* ensure that the recipe guides are followed and that all the dishes are consistent.
* maintain a good work attitude and behavior with your leaders and peers; you must be a good team player and work well with criticism.
* actively listen and build on other ideas.
* effectively understand and use resources.
* understand the business market and how the operation of a hotel works.
* develop and implement strategy. Align plans to strategies. Continuously seek new opportunities.
* operate ethically.

qualifications
* bachelor’s degree or diploma in hotel management, culinary background, or a related field.
* five or more years’ operating experience in a similar capacity in a top restaurant or luxury hotel.
* experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations.
* experience in completing administrative tasks, including reporting, budgeting, and project management.
* a minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen is required.
