Space optimization manager - cluster

The cluster manager of space optimization will work closely with the director of revenue management, director of sales and marketing, and directors of catering & events to ensure new group and local business opportunities align with meeting space inventory strategy and each hotel’s strategic goals.

what will i be doing?

this position will provide business intelligence and analyze leads through understanding the total “health” of each group and event, evaluating available space, considering latest booking trends, and reviewing historical performance of specific weeks.

* responsible for optimizing the hotel revenue stream and generating index against competing hotels in the marketplace
* space optimization
* sales strategy
* food & beverage optimization

supportive functions: analyze hotel activity data and present findings to the sales team and associated groups to assist in determining pricing strategies and sales forecasts that maximize hotel inventory and capitalize on opportunities. This requires extensive interaction with the director of revenue management, director of sales & marketing, directors of catering & events, and all group and local sales managers.

* understand fully hotel products and operations
* review business plans, identify gaps, and ensure proactive measures to meet capacity and targets
* understand the competition and recommend responses to hotel management
* collaborate with dorm, dosm, and doce(s) to evaluate and adjust sales strategies, group coverage targets, peak night guidance, and grc targets as needed
* interact effectively with hotel colleagues

* ability to work well under time pressure

preferred additional capabilities include:

* experience in revenue management or analytical roles
* relevant analytical qualifications
* knowledge of hotel property management systems
