Job opportunity:
we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales manager to lead our sales team in the mexico city and estado de mexico region. As a sales manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and market expansion across the region.
key responsibilities:
* coach, develop, and drive performance of a team of 3 to 5 sales representatives through weekly 1:1s, strategic guidance, and accountability to ensure call mix targets and sales goals are consistently met.
* execute high-impact field engagement, conducting 10+ joint customer calls monthly and 2 side-by-sides weekly to evaluate in-field execution, reinforce the company sales process, and deliver real-time performance feedback.
* lead from the front, completing 20+ individual sales visits annually to energize open territories and drive results during sales blitzes.
* design and facilitate dynamic weekly sales meetings to deliver tactical coaching, skill-building, and motivation that aligns with company goals and sales excellence.
* present and promote our solutions, effectively demonstrating product value and key differentiators to convert prospects and deepen customer relationships.
* own customer experience, proactively resolving issues and ensuring every interaction reinforces our commitment to excellence.
candidate qualifications and competencies:
* previous experience as a sales manager in the mexico city and estado de mexico region with a hunter profile in b2b environment.
* experience with sales distribution is ideal (i.e. packaging, industrial supplies, shipping materials, etc.). Will also consider experience in sales to manufacturing sector or waste management, as well.
* deep understanding of sales strategy, product knowledge, sales reporting, and the ability to confidently communicate value propositions to diverse customers at the top management level.
* proven ability to develop tailored growth plans for sales representatives, whether addressing performance gaps, elevating sales capabilities, or preparing high-potential talent for future leadership roles.
* strong career ambition with a desire for advancement; willingness to relocate within mexico and the u.s is a plus (relocation assistance provided).
* exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire team members and customers alike.
* demonstrated leadership excellence, including mentoring, coaching, and driving team performance in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
* outstanding organizational abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. Must be very process oriented.
* willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory for team development, customer engagement, and company meetings, including occasional travel to remote areas.
* familiar with crm like salesforce is preferred.
* must possess a valid driver's license, valid u.s. tourist visa and have access to reliable transportation.
* fluent in english and spanish. Good writing skills in english are required.
