Pre-commissioning electrical inspector required by our client to be assigned on a contract basis, located in mexico.
principal responsibilities
the quality control inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases of projects. They are responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying, and addressing non-conformances, and maintaining accurate documentation.
* project oversight:
o demonstrate good understanding of brownfield and greenfield projects.
o monitor pre-commissioning progress against project requirements.
o identify potential schedule delays and recommend mitigation actions.
o contribute to the sign-off process of pre-commissioning task sheets.
o interface and communicate effectively with construction teams to optimize schedules.
o ensure system clients are assigned and that punching, hold, and witness points are consistently applied.
* inspection and compliance:
o conduct thorough inspections of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
o verify compliance with company hse procedures, standards, and project schedules.
o monitor the proper succession of pre-commissioning and commissioning sequences.
o follow established procedures for easyplant database preparation.
o verify pre-commissioning and commissioning files and corresponding dossiers.
o monitor progress of pre-commissioning activities and report findings.
* reporting and documentation:
o submit weekly reports to superiors and prepare special reports as required.
o maintain accurate and comprehensive inspection records.
* collaboration and support:
o assist commissioning teams with commissioning and handover activities.
o review generated reports and provide support and guidance as needed.
* additional duties:
o carry out any other duties or tasks assigned by superiors.
experience / qualifications
* minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or inspection in oil and gas industry.
* strong understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning processes.
* excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* proficient in microsoft office suite.
* knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
