job purpose
plan, coordinate, and oversee the master production schedule (mps), ensuring customer requirements are met, materials are available, operations run efficiently, and the supply chain is optimized to improve delivery performance and reduce inventory-related costs.
key responsibilities
* develop and update the master production schedule (mps) aligned with production capacity and customer demand.
* coordinate with production, sales, and material planning to adjust schedules in response to demand changes or supply constraints.
* monitor raw material and finished goods inventories, ensuring optimal levels and implementing corrective actions when deviations occur.
* work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and maintenance to guarantee the availability of materials and production resources.
* manage shipping schedules, follow up on customer delivery changes, and resolve claims related to logistics or delivery issues.
* implement continuous improvement methodologies (lean, kaizen, six sigma) and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
* analyze planning kpis and propose actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs in inventory and logistics management.
academic & professional requirements
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics, production management, or related field.
* minimum of 3–5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or logistics within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
* strong knowledge of mrp/erp systems (sap, oracle, or similar).
* advanced excel skills (pivot tables, macros preferred) and data analysis tools.
* certifications in apics cpim, lean manufacturing, or six sigma are desirable.
* intermediate to advanced english level (able to communicate with international customers).
