as a *launch manager*, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all activities related to the launch of new products and programs.
you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that launch milestones are met on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
*responsibilities*:
*project planning and coordination*:
- develop comprehensive launch plans, timelines, and budgets for new vehicle programs.
- coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment of launch activities.
- identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful launch of new vehicle models.
*cross-functional leadership*:
- lead cross-functional launch teams and ensure clear communication and collaboration among team members.
- facilitate regular meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and drive decision-making.
- serve as the primary point of contact for all launch-related inquiries and updates.
*supplier management*:
- collaborate with supply chain and purchasing teams to manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
- conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance reviews to ensure adherence to quality and delivery requirements.
- resolve supplier-related issues and escalate critical issues to senior management as needed.
*manufacturing readiness*:
- coordinate with manufacturing and engineering teams to prepare production facilities and equipment for new vehicle launches.
- conduct production trials, process validations, and capacity assessments to ensure readiness for mass production.
- implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes
*quality assurance*:
- develop and implement quality control plans and inspection procedures for new vehicle programs.
- conduct quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for quality issues identified during the launch process
*continuous improvement*:
- identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings throughout the launch process.
- implement best practices and lessons learned from previous launches to drive continuous improvement.
- encourage a culture of innovation and efficiency within the launch team.
*requirements*:
- bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (master's degree is a plus).
- minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in the automotive industry.
*(headliners and overhead systems, door and console armrests, instrument panel trim components, and fiber solutions)*:
- *knowledge of the automotive interior products industry.

- strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, including assembly, stamping, and welding.
- proven track record of successfully managing new product launches from concept to production.
