The plant manager will oversee all manufacturing operations at our client's plastic injection molding facility, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in plastic injection molding, continuous improvement, and production optimization. The plant manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing teams, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
key responsibilities:
* lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety.
* develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
* ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and six sigma principles.
* oversee scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to meet production goals.
* foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development among staff.
* monitor key performance indicators (kpis) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to enhance production processes.
* develop and manage the plant’s budget, controlling costs while maximizing efficiency.
* build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
qualifications:
* bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management, or a related field preferred.
* 7+ years of experience in plant management, with a focus on plastic injection molding.
* strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials, tooling, and machinery.
* demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team building, coaching, and performance management.
* experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
* p&l experience.
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both english and spanish.
