*job description*:
the sales market merchandising specialist will drive execution of the commercial agenda and merchandising strategy together with the commercial sm team and areas to meet or exceed financial targets. The specialist will have a deep interest in the customer and use customer centric approach in everything you do. The role will have retail knowledge and understand synergies between channels, and interest in product, strong analytical ability, and commercial skills, enabling you to constantly improve customer shopping experience in market. The role will create strong buy in which will help to implement and execute regional strategy.
this position is *based in mexico city* within our merchandising function, and reports to our store commercial manager.
*core responsibilities includes but not limited to*:
set and align customer strategy for region
- together with business units, set omni strategy for your assortment group to fulfil the customer expectation and to secure long-term profitable growth in your region
implement and execute
drive execution of commercial agenda and merchandising strategy together with commercial sm team and areas to meet or exceed financial targets
- execute regional guidelines related to assortment and allocation
- be up to date with regional assortment and supply & demand strategy
- follow-up on store stock and resolve issues together with regional team
- execute sale in line with the regional strategy
ensure local relevance
provide input to region about local retail situation, customer needs, and shopping behavior and adapt commercial plan accordingly
- know your market retail situation and customer profile
- give input to regional team about local relevance and market potentials from price and assortment perspective
- optimize local selling peaks driven by calendar and customer shopping behavior
- provide commercial team with constant & structured sales follow-up
- review your commercial plan periodically and set improvements for next year
- adapt regional commercial plan to local needs with support from regional visual team
support and develop
ensure that the market organization is up to date with assortment knowledge and provide commercial follow up
- provide assortment knowledge and merchandising training to market organization
- update commercial team with assortment decision and actions initiated by region
- close collaboration with store operation team to secure garment flow execution
- follow-up commercial results and kpis and benchmark between areas and stores
- follow up on local adaptation of regional commercial planning

- spanish & english fluency required
- bachelor's degree, preferably in business, economics or fashion
- 2+ years of experience with retail buying or planning or retail management
- strong analytical skills and ability to link customer insight knowledge into commercial actions
- strong understanding of retail and synergies between channels
- strong data management skills - analytical, structured, ability to synthesize information and draw conclusions
- excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and project management skills
- strong knowledge of ms office, especially in excel and powerpoint
- strong understanding of the consumer we serve
- proactive and able to drive initiatives/ideas into tangible sales results
- understanding of supply chain and garment flow complexity
- up to date with store operation knowledge

- ability to travel domestically up to 40% of time
