the right staff accountant will be a proactive individual who is looking to ensure the financial statements are accurate, is excited to work for a growing international company and has strong attention to detail.
duties & responsibilities
* ensure ap and ar processes are followed and maintain and collect proper documentation.
* assist with accounts receivable process from invoicing to collection.
* assist with general ledger activities such as: journal entries, review ap and ar balances and reconciliations, account reconciliations, management reporting, etc.
* perform month-end and year-end close activities.
* assist with financial statement preparation and analysis.
* review and troubleshoot billing issues.
* generate and review ar aging reports and help with collections.
* update customer accounts and records as needed.
* assist with special projects as needed.
qualifications
* university degree in accounting is required.
* excellent written and verbal english and spanish communication skills.
* minimum of two years accounting experience is required.
* strong knowledge of u.s. Gaap (generally accepted accounting principles) and ifrs principles.
* experience with foreign currency translations.
* proficient in microsoft office applications, specifically excel.
* ability to function well in a fast-paced and changing environment.
