job summary:
the service technician i will work closely with the director of field operations, commissioning & warranty manager, and other service technicians to ensure customer needs are satisfied promptly and effectively. The successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time. As a service technician i, you should be eager to learn about array's tracker portfolio, work in a team environment, and assist with retrofits, commissioning, and repowering efforts.
key job responsibilities:
1. support field efforts including retrofits, repowering, commissioning, and service repairs.
2. ensure tools and equipment used in field activities are functioning properly.
3. manage expense reports via concur's system.
4. submit daily field service reports detailing activities.
5. perform other duties as assigned.
qualifications:
1. willingness to travel extensively, up to 90%.
2. valid driver's license.
3. experience with basic hand tools.
4. basic math skills.
5. entry-level knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
6. strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
7. customer-facing presence.
8. ability to perform manual labor in extreme temperatures.
preferred qualifications:
1. experience with utility-scale solar projects.
2. knowledge of utility-scale construction.
3. basic experience with microsoft office suite and salesforce.
4. experience with mechanical and electrical tools.
5. osha 10 or higher certification (preferred).
6. nfpa 70e certification (preferred).
physical demands:
1. lifting up to 50 lbs.
2. 75% standing, 25% computer work.
