Role purpose
as our senior audit manager, you will manage and execute audit activities across credit risk functions. You will provide independent, objective assurance over the group’s internal control framework and assist business line management by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. You will oversee monitoring and continual assessment of strategic, credit, operational, and other risks from business activities.
main activities
1. maintain the audit issues tracking database to ensure identified risks/issues are addressed by business management.
2. assist in the development of the annual audit plan and manage its successful completion; identify process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency, and contribution to economic profit without impacting effectiveness.
3. manage a continuous audit program for assigned businesses and ensure results are used in audit planning and escalation of real-time issues.
4. review and submit audit reports or conclusions for each audit, ensuring they accurately reflect audit findings and are prepared efficiently, timely, and concisely.
5. ensure risk controls are effectively designed and operated in accordance with hsbc or regulatory standards and policies; address issues with regulators as needed.
6. contribute to the development of global internal audit by collaborating with other teams as a credit risk subject matter expert and leveraging data analytics, agile techniques, and innovations to enhance delivery.
