Distribution sales manager latam the nutrition division of archer daniels midland is searching for a distribution sales manager in latam. This is an experienced sales & business management position that has opportunity to build, execute and own indirect go-to-market strategy across latam. Role will build the latam strategy for indirect sales through channels such as distributors, brokerages, etc. Success in the role will be through achieving growth in indirect sales, managing risk with our partner agreements, building/executing business plans, reporting activities to management and fostering strategic relationships. This position will report directly to global vp of distributors.
functions and responsibilities
* you will be challenged with creating a plan around existing market segments & how to increase adm market share.
* ensure gtm targets are clearly defined & all support functions are aligned to execute.
* help in both warm and cold calling to onboard potential partners (may need to own new relationships until they are warm enough for sales).
* attend industry events to help create our gtm plan and generate markets for our products.
* work with marketing teams to create new content supporting our partners.
* build strong internal & external customer relationships, loyalty, and retention.
* work effectively with others in team-based environments to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
* utilize salesforce as well as other adm tools to manage customers and pipeline.
year 1 focus
* develop new ways of working & executing w/ indirect partners to attain value for adm.
* working alongside vp of global distributors & regional gtm leaders.
* this will include geographical fit of distributors, top line negotiations as ceo/ownership levels, assessment of capabilities.
experience & qualifications
* 10 yrs sales and business management preferred: building & executing strategy, negotiating partner agreements, developing new markets.
* ability to work effectively with others.
* self-motivation and drive a must.
* ability to work at a fast‐pace and learn products, systems, and sales management processes.
* 35% travel required.
* fluent spanish & english required (portuguese not required but a plus).
