about the job
we are currently seeking a talented production supervisor to lead our production activities and resources management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations.
key responsibilities:
1. prepare daily production status reports.
2. coordinate, leverage, and utilize appropriate resources to resolve manufacturing problems, improve processes, and meet external and internal customer demands.
3. provide and implement training that enables personnel to better perform.
4. coordinate and administer employees' attendance, punctuality, overtime, vacations, and permissions.
5. maintain and report accurate inventory numbers while continually seeking ways to reduce work-in-progress (wip) inventory levels and maximize product flow.
6. participate in setting, communicating, and achieving department goals and develop and maintain performance metrics as required to monitor results and use those results as a tool to identify and initiate process improvements within own work area.
7. supervise the identification of material non-conforming products by their staff, at least once per shift.
8. coordinate with human resources in the selection, promotion, counseling, and termination of employees using eaton guidelines and policies.
9. monitor machinery, equipment, and facility and initiate maintenance work orders as required to ensure safe working conditions, efficiency, and effectiveness.
10. promote the company's vision by actively supporting eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.
11. motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote engagement & participation to achieve results.
qualifications
the ideal candidate should have an engineering degree or related fields and 2-3 years of experience in a related manufacturing or engineering environment.

* technical knowledge of iso, iso 14001, management systems, positive attitude towards cop's, rie, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement activities.
